Full Roof Replacement & Installation Services in Squaw Valley, CA

A roof is a system, not just a layer of shingles. When your roof reaches the end of its lifespan or suffers catastrophic storm damage, you need a roof replacement that is built to last. We are Squaw Valley, CA’s premier roofing installation experts. We strip the roof down to the deck, repair the wood substrate, and install a fully integrated system that includes leak barriers, starter strips, and high-performance ventilation.

Material Options: Shingle, Metal, Tile

We believe in giving you choices that fit your budget and aesthetic.

  • Asphalt Shingles: The most popular choice in Squaw Valley, CA. We install architectural shingles that offer depth, durability, and 50-year warranties.
  • Metal Roofing: For homeowners looking for longevity, we install standing seam metal roofs. These conceal the fasteners, preventing leaks and offering a lifespan of 50+ years.
  • Tile & Slate: For a premium look, we install concrete tile and synthetic slate, providing unmatched curb appeal and fire resistance.

The Replacement Process

We take the stress out of the project. We use catch-all tarping systems to protect your siding and landscaping during the tear-off. We inspect every sheet of plywood decking and replace any soft or rotted wood. We then install the underlayment—the secondary moisture barrier—before laying the primary roofing material. Finally, we install new ridge caps and verify that all flashing is watertight.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does a new roof cost in Squaw Valley, CA? Cost depends on size, pitch (steepness), and material. We provide a free, detailed measurement and quote so you know the exact price.
  • What is the warranty? We offer manufacturer warranties on materials (ranging from 25 years to Lifetime) and our own workmanship warranty to cover the installation.
  • Do I need to be home during installation? You don't have to be, but it helps. It will be noisy. We recommend moving cars out of the driveway so they aren't blocked by our dumpsters.
  • What if it rains during the job? We monitor the weather constantly. We never tear off more than we can dry-in (cover with waterproof underlayment) in a single day.
  • Do you replace the flashing? Yes. Reusing old flashing is a leading cause of leaks. We install new step flashing, chimney flashing, and drip edge on every replacement.

Squaw Valley, CA Insights: Population,
Zip Codes, Influence, and Service Areas

By 1942, Wayne Poulsen, a former star skier from the University of Nevada, had acquired 2,000 acres (810 ha) in the valley from the Southern Pacific Railroad. Poulsen met Alex Cushing, a Harvard University-trained lawyer, in 1946 while Cushing was vacationing at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. During his vacation, Cushing toured the valley at Poulsen's invitation and decided to invest in building a ski resort there. Unlike Poulsen, Cushing had the political connections and access to the capital necessary to create a ski resort. In June 1948, the two founded the Squaw Valley Development Company and Cushing replaced Poulsen as president of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation by October 1949. Squaw Valley Ski Resort opened on Thanksgiving Day 1949. The resort was constructed with $400,000 raised by Cushing, including $150,000 of his own money. The creation of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation and Squaw Valley Ski Resort mark the modern era of the valley.
